This is Darkness Radio Presents Hulser's Ghosts Tonight.

Hulser files season 2 episode 9, I believe it is, the ghost that got away the ghost of

Westover Manor. We're going to talk about that this evening on the program and I'll introduce

my guests in just a few moments. This was a really interesting case because this is one

of the rare cases that Dr. Hulser heard about this ghost. It was very famous in the Virginia

area but when Dr. Hulser went knocking, this is one of the stories he went after actively.

He talked to people around the area who kept pointing him to where this ghost story originated

from. When he finally gets there, literally knocks on the door, he gets kind of rejected

in a very polite manner. As you saw tonight, Andrea, who is the granddaughter of the woman

that owned the home at the time, was very kind but she just wasn't into allowing a paranormal

investigation. That's not something she wanted to do. Plus, the strange idiosyncrasy of this

investigation was that people that came to visit the manor had paranormal experiences

but the people that lived there never did. That's really rare, right? Most haunted house

stories you hear from the people who lived there, from the people who were experiencing

the haunting firsthand. What was the mystery of this house? Why would the people living

there not have an experience but everybody else did? It was the property itself, the house,

and the outlying surrounding area that would have many different paranormal experiences

take place. When we were told about this case, it was fascinating because, again, people

always ask, how do you choose which case files of Dr. Hunsel's or you're going to investigate?

As I've said, it just kind of comes down to what's available. Is the place still alive

and standing or is it burned to the ground or been torn down and a parking lot put up?
