on purpose means more than just gardening or preserving food.

Honestly, it's really become a way for me and my family to look at the world

and question all the systems, not just the most obvious ones. And also, over the years,

you've really seen me dig into my curiosity around the phenomenon of social media and the

echo chambers it creates. So, of course, polarization is nothing new, but it's certainly been exacerbated by social media.

We're seeing that now, especially during an election year.

And it's prompted me once again to go back to the question I ask about everything.

And that's how we can return to what is healthy and beneficial and normal, if we can use that word, for us as humans.

So today, we get to dive into that very question with one of my favorite online thinkers and

creators, Will Ruch. I have been listening to his podcast, Cylinder Radio, and following him on

social media for a while. I'm really excited for this conversation because he is incredible at

bringing nuance and critical thinking into all sorts of sticky topics. And he's also an educator and a

mentor who recently founded a platform to inspire critical thinking in high schoolers. And so whether
