I have to circle back to a story we talked about last week because there is a greater angle to it.

First, we must discuss my hatred for the Jones Act.

The Jones Act needs to die.

The Jones Act is, well, a bad piece of protectionist legislation that was passed by Congress years ago to protect the American

shipping industry. And it essentially says the Merchant Marine Act of 1920 or the Jones Act is a

federal law that requires all good ship between U.S. ports to be transported on ships that are American built,

American-owned, American crude, and American flagged.

It's called the Jones Act because Wesley Jones of Washington State did it.

Now, here is a problem with the Jones Act.

The ships that are required for the Jones Act are in limited supply.
