I'll be clear out of the gate here that what the president is proposing on pharmaceutical prices is somewhat nebulous.

There's not a lot of clarity.

And so we're kind of seeing through some of the mud and the news reports where people

from the Trump administration have talked on background to reporters to explain the

president's thinking on lowering pharmaceutical prices. Let's begin with

the idea that price controls are bad because price controls are bad. I saw some Trump

supporters say, well, Richard Nixon did price controls. Yes, and they ended badly for Richard

Nixon. They actually caused

shortages in the United States. Price controls don't work. There are logical extension of tariffs
