Andrew, Dizzididerio from Punchball News, says a few Senate Republicans have said openly,

they believe future recessions are unhelpful in terms, or recisions, rather, not recessions,

recisions are unhelpful in terms of engendering Dems trust on full year funding bills,

but it would probably be a bridge too far for most of them to make a firm commitment to get

rid of any recisions in the future.

My buddy Liam Donovan replies,

it's easier to pledge to defend a product you have a hand in writing than a recursive

funding mechanism left over from a previous Congress and a different balance of power.

What all of this is getting to is the Democrats and Republicans on Capitol Hill are trying

to find some way to cut a deal to reopen the government.
