bill because it's becoming a boondoggle and it's just, it's a hassle for John Thune to get it

through. According to Axios, Senate Majority Leader John Thune expects to start voting Friday

on President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, he told Axios.

This would have them voting into the weekend and it would up in the House's recess next week.

Thune is confident Congress will meet itself-imposed July 4th deadline to get the bill to Trump's desk.

Thune huddled with Mike Johnson on Tuesday morning.

Minutes before the meeting, Dune told Axios he hadn't chatted with Johnson recently

about the bill, saying we've kind of had our nose to the grindstone.

House leadership has reportedly told people they're worried about being able to pass the

Senate version.
