Hi, I am Sage, and I recently, about a year and a half ago was on the dating app hinge.

Dating apps were never really a part of my life at all. I'm in my 20s though.

I had done the whole university and grad school thing.

And then when I moved back after grad school, the world shut down because of COVID.

And the only way you met people or really got to know anybody was they were either your neighbor or you knew

them from your past somehow and meeting new people to date was kind of out of the question because

you don't really want to date your neighbor you don't want to date co-workers and you're only meeting

your coworkers through Zoom anyways so I had some friends in the

area that were my neighbors and they were all encouraging me to try the dating apps out. I had always

been kind of afraid of dating apps. It was never my thing in college or grad school.

So I didn't really know which one to pick.

And when people started explaining them to me,

I didn't want Tinder because I was kind of told that was only for hookups.
