I got to continue to deal with the breaking news that we have dealt with the entirety of the day here when we started the program.

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence released a statement on their Twitter feed.

And that statement set off a mass array deservingly so, I think, of alarm bells out there with what it was actually saying.

And in fact, if you get my show notes, you would see it. We printed it as it was displayed on social media.

Today, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence has made available to all members of Congress information concerning a serious national security threat.

That's paragraph one.

And that paragraph indicates that it was the committee itself, not just the chairman, who decided to release the information.

And then the second paragraph is Mike Turner, the chairman, Republican from Ohio, says, I am requesting that President Biden declassify all information related to this threat so that Congress, the administration, and our allies can openly discuss the actions necessary to respond to this threat.
