And it's in the mountainous state of West Virginia that we begin this evening's festivities

with a call from an anonymous source in the state of North Carolina.

Hi Derek. This is someone from North Carolina.

I'd rather stay anonymous. But I love the podcast. I've been listening for a couple months.

And I recently just heard a story that reminded me of something that my grandma and my great aunt both experienced when they were growing up.

So my grandma and her family grew up in West Virginia, and they lived on a mountain.

And their grandma lived at the top of the mountain, and they lived at the base of the mountain.

And when you're at the bottom of the mountain, she said that you kind of like really had to hike up to get to the top of the mountain and they lived at the base of the mountain. And when you're at the bottom of the mountain, she said that you kind of like really had to hike up to get to the top of the mountain.

And when you would get up to the top, that was where her grandma lived and had a garden that

her family tended. So she said that when their family would walk up this mountain, they frequently

had to take breaks because it was that difficult to go up.
