There's breaking news happening at this moment I need to mention to you briefly. Governor Ron DeSantis has signed an order sending the Florida National Guard to the ports

of Jacksonville, Miami, and elsewhere in the wake of the dockworker strike, ensuring that ships will still be unloaded.

The is ordering the adjutant general to activate the Florida National Guard as needed to

deal with the emergency and ordering the director of the state guard to activate the Florida

State Guard as needed to deal with the emergency and is ordering a waiver of tolls and other fees and charges

in order to ensure that safe passage of cargo and waiving size and weight restrictions for

divisible loads on any vehicle transporting all goods from seaports and to establish alternative

size and weight restrictions

for those vehicles. In other words, they'll be able to put heavier loads on single trucks

and get the cargo out of the ports while the strikers strike. So ports will stay open in Florida,
