There is some breaking news that I've got to actually pivot from what I wanted to talk about

because I need to bring you up to speed on this story that is happening.

There is a concerted effort happening today to push Mark Robinson

out of the race for governor in North Carolina because of a damaging story that they believe

is going to come out. Now, there are a number of damaging stories about Mark Robinson, and I've got to just say

something up front. Mark Robinson has been an intriguing person because of his culture war

stances, and I played some of his speeches on radio. But I have remained a little bit suspicious

about him in large part because of this massive embrace

from a bunch of people who just always had a history of terribly vetting candidates.

It's that when the base of the party wants their ears tickled, along comes guys who do it

and they tend to go with them and they don't pay attention to the background.
