Let's have a chat about single issue voters.

I'll flog the dead horse.

Don't need any more phone calls on single issue voters.

I just, I just, it's story time, folks.

It's story time.

Years ago, I worked on a local campaign. And, you know, so by the way, there are, let me just explain to you the phenomenon of single issue voters.

There are between 1 and 4% of the electorate, or 1% to 4% of total voters, but they actually have significant weight because, you know, of 100% of Americans,

maybe 75% are registered to vote. Of those who vote, you're only down to like 50% of vote.

Of those who vote, you've got like 20% vote Democrat, 19% vote Republican. And you've got some

people who flip back and forth. And then you've got about four, maybe four or five percent of the total number of people who vote.

They're going to be single issue voters and in an election of 50,000 to 100,000 people, they really matter.

Single issue voters, progressives, gay rights, tend to be Democrat, environment, tend to be Democrat, pro-abortion, obviously Democrat, gun control, obviously Democrat.

Interestingly enough, single-issue gun control voters actually aren't a very big group of people, but they vote Democrat.

On the right, you've got pro-lifers, and pro-life is, there are varying degrees of pro-life

and I should probably say pro-life absolutists, abolitionists versus pro-lifers.

Pro-lifers are broader.

It's the pro-life abolitionists, the people who want to flat out ban an abortion, they're

single-issue voters and they will vote third party.

They will, and they tend to vote Republican or third party.

There are also the Second Amendment guys.
