Hey friends, welcome back to the old-fashioned on-purpose podcast.

So I'm really excited for today's topic as I travel around the internet on social media

and various platforms, especially this year in different Guards Being Circles.

I've heard the topic of pollination come up multiple times, often it's someone posting

a picture of a plant, they're concerned about it, and a lot of the comments are the people

giving advice will be like, oh, you don't have an appolination or it looks like it hasn't

been pollinated or et cetera.

So I think this is a topic that we as homesteaders are vaguely familiar with.

I know some people talk about the declining bee populations or why their squash plants

are growing properly because they're not getting enough pollinators, but I really wanted

to get to the heart of the issue today.

What's going on exactly?

Are we doing things on our homestead that could be contributing to the problem and how can

we encourage pollinators back onto our homesteads?

She is an ecological landscape designer and environmental horticulturist.
