1:52.0 | Hey, thank you, Dave, for having me. What a fascinating turn. How do you how do you go from a steel worker to you know what? I think I want to be a mentalist. |
2:02.0 | You know, there is a story there actually when I like the Billy Joel song living here in Alan Town, that was kind of my life. I was destined to work in a steel mill. I didn't do well in high school. |
2:15.0 | I had to go to summer school to get my diploma and I ended up at the steel just like my dad and my neighbors and everything else. And life was good living here in Alan Town and I ended up getting married, had a baby. |
2:29.0 | And while on the way for the second child, I lost my job. I got laid off just like everybody else down there. And I didn't know what to do. I'm like, what do I do now? |
2:42.0 | So fortunately for me, when working at the steel mill, I met a gentleman that owned a magic shop. And up until that time, I didn't do any kind of magic. I didn't do tricks or anything. And I met this guy. He invited me to his magic shop. I went up there and I started spending a lot of time up there, spending a great deal of money from my paychecks when I worked at the steel. |
3:03.0 | And that ended up being a good thing because what I ended up doing when I got laid off was I took my wife's AVE on account because she was pregnant. And I went door to door selling AVE on. It was amazing. |
