I want to begin, just out of the gate, full disclosure.

I'm kind of over talking about guns and gun control and large part because we're not going

to have resolution on it.

It is a hyper-emotional subject that people, even on the right, contrary to what the

media would have you believe, are deeply divided on how to proceed.

There is, however, some relevant news to make a larger

point that we need to develop or get to at least. I want to begin with a massive story

in the Washington Post today. The headline is, well, actually, I take that back. I'm just now,

I'm just now seeing it's from March 27th, and I only found a day my wife saw it. I had missed it.

She saw it. And this is, let me just read you the beginning of this. It is revered as a modern-day musket.

It is reviled as a tool for mass killers.

The AR-15 wasn't supposed to be a bestseller.

The rugged, powerful weapon was originally designed as a soldier's rifle in the late 1950s.

An outstanding weapon with phenomenal ethality and internal Pentagon report raved.

It soon became standard issue for U.S. troops in the Vietnam War where the weapon earned

the new name, the M16. Y'all, that's a complete distortion of the truth.
