shooting at the bank in Louisville, more just another troubling, sad story there to start the week.

I want to talk about future planning.

There's some relevant stories out there today.

One of the things, if you pay attention to the Chinese Communist Party, it has wrapped up meetings,

and it comes out with long long range planning. Communists are

notorious for doing this. The Soviets did the same thing. They would have a five year, 10 year,

20 year plan for how society should be developed. And all of society was mobilized towards

this planning. So side note here, when I was a lawyer, we had a partner at our law firm who was very big into

future planning that I should have a one year, a three year, a five year, and a 10 year plan

for what my law practice would look like.

And the purpose was to try to get me focused on how I wanted to grow strategically long term,

that in the next year I should be working on this core set of skills that would within three years

be able to manifest a practice in such way that within five years would be providing me and my

partners a stream of income, that within five years would be providing me and my partners a stream

of income that within 10 years would position me as some dominant force in the area of law I

wanted to practice or some such I never did it never did it I didn't think it was realistic
