It's just too good not to share.

The headline in the New York Times, this story is out today, when climate change

melt your relationship.

This woman, it's always a woman, isn't it? She's a climbing ranger at Yosemite National Park. She and her boyfriend been dating for six months.

He has a sailboat, and he uses a kerosene lantern in the sailboat.

And Allison, my better middle name is Karen, Kaplan,

decided that her boyfriend needed to ditch the kerosene lantern that he loved. He needed to ditch the reliable kerosene lantern for an LED because it was more environmentally

friendly. She couldn't let it go. She obsessed about it. She picked an argument about it.

She couldn't just decide that, well, he likes it. It's not really harm in anybody. No, no, no, no, no.

I teased him because he got up most nights and hit his head on the lantern.

It spilled kerosene. I wiped up the spill with a greasy rag and told him about a book I had been reading that listed kerosene as one of the dirtiest fossil fuels.

I often wished I had a headlamp when Doug asked me to read aloud to him. My already poor eyesight undoubtedly worsening as they squinted under the dull glow of the lamp's

flickering wick, but it made everything feel romantic.
