This is Beyond the Darkness. I'm your host Dave Schrader.

Something that's fascinated me for years regarding the supernatural, the paranormal, is the fact that there always seems to be these haunted grey guards, these haunted burial sites.

Why are they haunted? Why would we elect as a soul to stay with nothing more than a rotting shell in the ground?

And it's never been more prevalent than the way Hollywood produces it, talking about how we disturb Native American burial sites and how upset the spirits of the Native Americans have been.

I would like to think that once we've transitioned from the physical form, that's the least of our worries. The materialistic world is gone.

Why would we care? More importantly, why would we come back to haunt and cause havoc for those that may not even be involved in the moving of the bodies or desecration of the burial grounds?

So this has been a question we've bandied about for a while.
