I got thoughts on this Kevin McCarthy thing, and I'm trying to put them

in words. And I recall when I was a child, my parents had a friend who lived in in Mainz in Germany,

and we went there, and we got to go to the opera when I was a kid.

Now, I was a nerd and I love classical music and it was the opera about Orpheus.

And it was fascinating.

And I've been thinking about this because there's the old story and the old opera of, well,

Dr. Faust.

And you got to understand the situation with Dr. Faust.

Poor old Dr. Faust sells his soul.

This is from the opera, the damnation of Faust by Berlioz.

Faust sells his soul to Mephistopheles.

In exchange, Mephistopheles says he's going to give Faust love and fortune and knowledge.

And well, he doesn't.

Faust at the end of days, as all of heaven tells him, you can make, you can change the deal.

You can change the deal.

Faust does not change the deal.
