I've got to go back to the topic that doesn't want to go away, and that is the possible fight over the speaker. It's kind of interesting. Every major political player in America now is either in court,

getting impeached or getting thrown out of office. We need to bring you up to speed. We,

the royal, the royal me. I need to bring you up to speed on what's actually going on because

we got some new details.

Thomas Massey, who is probably the most libertarian member of the House right now,

has come out and said he is not in favor of ousting Kevin McCarthy today.

He is critical of McCarthy, but also says that there's really no plan to replace McCarthy.

There's no better alternative.

No one has stepped up.

Also notable, Ralph Norman of South Carolina, who is one of the big obstacles to McCarthy becoming speaker originally, Ralph Norman has come out and said he is opposed to Alsty McCarthy.

Really notable, however. You may say it's not, but it is actually a very notable issue.

Is Nancy Pelosi has come out and said, the House will be in order.

It is the responsibility of the majority party to pick the Speaker,

and the minority party will at this time play no role. At this time, key words there.

But essentially saying she has no desire and the Democrats should not weigh in on this,

it should be for the Republicans to pick

the speaker. That is an interesting state of play, and you may discount me talking about Nancy Pelosi.

However, you shouldn't because what the signals is there will be no deal cut

between Kevin McCarthy and the Democrats. Kevin McCarthy has already said he wants no deal cut.

But now in particular, the Democrats are saying they don't want to cut a deal either.

They want the Republicans to have to own this.
