I wish to begin, friends, by, well, some of you are going to say I'm cruel lack sympathy or empathy

and I'm just I'm prepared for the attacks in B.C news is increasingly a they're not

even trying to be a fair outlet it's not that they ever been, but they're increasingly open about their partisanship and progressivism in how they handle cultural issues and how they handle issues in Washington, D.C.

And it's another example of their progressive activism where they're blending not just coverage of the news, but actual advocacy for sides within the news,

that they have a piece out. And the headline is this, the terrifying tradeoffs.

Millions of Americans face as student loan repayment resumes.

Tens of millions of Americans with federal student loan debt have had a financial reprieve for more than three years.

As a pandemic era repayment pause was extended multiple times since March 2020.

Now many face a new reality on Sunday, October 1st, when they're due to resume making payments all while struggling with nagging inflation and rising interest rates.

Wait a second.

They told us that's no big deal.

It's kind of funny at a macro level

when NBC News covers the economy. They say everything is hunky dory. Everything is fine.

Inflation's gone down, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. But when they focus on an advocacy piece

like this, that suddenly the economy's bad. Oh no, these people are going to have a hard time.

More than 45 million borrowers owe $1.6 trillion combined, according to the Biden administration,

which tried to cancel up to $20,000 in debt, only to have the Supreme Court kill it.
