I gotta begin today with what I wanted to begin with yesterday, but couldn't the

fitch downgrade of

U.S. bond rating. We've gone from a AAA, which is the highest rating, to double A plus,

which is a better rating than the S&P gave when Standard & Boers downgraded the country.

Back in 2011, they went to AA minus. The CEO there resigned afterwards.

It was basically forced out. Well, the government is coming for Fitch. And the media is coming as well.

And you'll not be surprised to understand that so much of the outrage about what's happening with

Fitch has come from MSNBC. Here's Joe Scarborough.

And you look at our economy.

It may not be the greatest it's ever been.

It's better than just about every other economy on the globe.

So the question is, if you're downgrading us,

I mean, are you downgrading everybody else on the planet? Because there is no safer

investment on the planet right now than the United States of America. This is Eugene Robinson,

also on MSNBC. I don't know exactly what they're smoking over at Fitch, but it's like they all of a sudden

realize that there's some political polarization in the United States and, you know, it's

like, oh, shocked and horrified.
