I technically have the day off from the office, but I've got to take a trip the beginning

of February and it's going to cost me a day of work.

It'll be for work, but I won't be on air, so I decided I wouldn't take off today.

I do want to spend some time on this, though, and everybody talks about all their,

the I have a dream speech, the I've been to the mountaintop, the letters from Birmingham jail,

and I just, I want to spend a moment playing what I think is one of the most deeply meaningful

theological relevant speeches from Martin Luther King Jr., which is his street sweeper speech.

What I'm saying to you this morning, my friend, even if it's called your lot to be

a street sweet.

Go on out in sweet streets like Michelangelo painted pictures.

Sweet streets like Handel and Beethoven composed music.

Sweet streets like Shakespeare wrote portrait.

Sweet streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will have to pause and say,

here lived a great street sweeper who swept his job well.

If you can't be a pine on the top of the hill, be a scrub in the valley, but be the best little scrub on the side of the real. Be a bush if you can't be a tree.

If you can't be a highway, just be a trail.

If you can't be the sun, be a star.

It isn't by size that you win or you fail.

Be the best of whatever you are.
