| 0:00.0 | Hey, everybody. Welcome back to the old fashioned on purpose podcast. So here |
| 0:05.4 | in the podcast, we've talked a lot about nature over the years and our |
| 0:08.6 | connection to nature and kind of how we fit into the natural world as humans. |
| 0:12.2 | But more often than not, for obvious reasons, we talk about that through the |
| 0:16.4 | lens of agriculture and regenerative farming and cultivating the land on our |
| 0:20.9 | little homesteads. But as I learn more about this and my understanding |
| 0:26.1 | broadens, I'm really starting to understand that that's just the beginning. |
| 0:30.0 | And you could absolutely argue that there is a connection to nature that we have |

| 0:43.4 | that we have to the land and to animals. And so I would venture to say, I don't |
| 0:48.5 | think I've ever talked about fishing here on the podcast. But I'm excited to |
| 0:52.5 | talk about it today. And I have with me Connor Sullivan and he's probably |
| 0:56.4 | one of the best people we could have on to talk about this topic. He's an author, |
| 0:59.6 | he's an angler, he's fished all over the place. He lives in Alaska with his |
| 1:03.3 | family. And Connor, you have a pretty impressive resume, if you will. So I'm going to let |
| 1:07.6 | you give us a little bit of an introduction. Sure. And thank you, Abby, on |
| 1:12.0 | Jill. This is at a real privilege to be here talking today. |
| 1:15.2 | Yeah, my name is Connor Sullivan. I live here in Southeast Alaska, my wife, |
| 1:18.8 | Renee, or three beautiful children. You know, I kind of grew up, you know, |
| 1:23.8 | since my first memory was a fish and put it that way. I grew up |
| 1:28.5 | putting my rod in my hand here, and I've fished across our entire country. |
