I simply was like many people who fell under the seductive influence of the real Frank William

Abigail Jr. I was very seduced by him from his book just by the character how he saw himself

when he wrote the book about his adventures, his exploits in the world of being an imposter

and check fraud.

This young man came of age during a 21 month's crime spree and a lot of which was very

innocent.

I mean, the Salem witches were innocent.

Galileo, who was imprisoned because he believed that the earth revolved around the sun

was innocent, George Floyd who was brutally murdered by police in broad daylight was innocent.

Frank Abigail is not innocent.

Even if you believe his story, the guy robbed and cheated his way throughout life.

Maybe Spielberg is referring to childhood innocence.
