Programming note, I'll be on with Erin Burnett on CNN tonight to talk about the elections from yesterday. I was on Fox and Friends this morning talking about the elections.

I'm going to ask if I wanted to talk about the shooting situation.

And I really, I don't, these are the sorts of topics I don't like because there,

but by the grace of God, go, I as as a parent I sometimes think it's depressing.

I don't want to continue talking about the shooting.

And I know some of you do.

And I just, I don't like to talk about those events.

I find them deeply sad and I find them deeply infuriating

that so many people these days are so focused on politics

that they can't actually find a way to come up with solutions because they want perfect solutions.

That really frustrates me.

Republicans, one of the things they advocate for is additional security at schools.

There appears to have been an armed officer presence at this elementary school in Texas,

and the shooter was not wearing body armor, as some claimed.

He had a tactical vest on to hold more ammo, but he didn't have actual body armor.

There was an officer.

The officer, he got past the officer.

It took a Border Patrol agent to stop him who happened to arrive at the scene.

God bless him.

But Democrats were saying, C, C, C, this wouldn't have worked.

This wouldn't have stopped. This wouldn't have stopped him. So why do it?

Well, because there isn't a perfect solution.
