It's delicious. You can use any donuts.

There used to be this donut shop in my in-laws town called Vogelsbergs, made the best donuts I've ever had.

And they shut down.

And, you know, for years I wanted to go in and say, could you just teach me how to make your donuts?

And I never did.

And I've regretted it ever since because they really were the best donuts.

They were very fresh. You had to eat them the day you got them because otherwise they got stale. But man, I miss Vogelsbergs and I wish I had that donut recipe. You know, though I made homemade donuts for my kids one time and they didn't like them. I don't know why I bother, but that's okay.
