Nobody wants to answer an unknown call, right? Because then you're going to have to hear recording about your car's warranty or how the department of FBI arresting people is going to arrest you unless you pay money, right?

I mean, that's why I screen all of my calls and I rarely answer because, you know, I don't know how legitimate they are but you hear stories of like, oh, if you answer it and you pick up even if you hang up when you figure out who it is, they can still then they know and they're like, oh, this phone number is a legit number check.

Yes, and now I don't know if this is every cell phone company or whatever, but we have AT&T and it'll show up on caller ID and it says the words spam risk from, you know, calls that are suspicious or whatever.

So, Callie gets one of those a couple weeks ago doesn't answer it and they leave a message and it's related to it's loosely.

It could loosely be related to something we were dealing with with our business.

But it was a really generic message and they were like, hey, this is Evelyn. I was calling about your application didn't say application for what we noticed that on the box that you filled out you didn't check are you a US citizen.

So, we need to get a copy of the front and back of your driver's license and we need it immediately. I'm going to send you an email asking for this information, but I want you to know that the email is coming and please take care of this as soon as possible.

And I'm like, this is a scam.

It sounds like a scam right the only reason that it wasn't a scam is because I had just filled out an application like a week before.

On behalf of the business so it have Callie's name on it.

And I was like, well, do you think it's it could be related to that and then we're like, no plus the email never came in email never came in so I was like, oh, it must be.

I don't know. I just figured that like my information had somehow gotten into like a third party hand or something like that and they were trying to get you know information from me turns out it was legitimate like two or three weeks go by and we had not heard back regarding this paper we had submitted.

So I had a few extra minutes while it was you know walking satire something and I called the number and I'm like, hey, I'm calling on behalf of Callie dollar and hear my questions and I probably it's in her name.

But it's it's if is there a thing about citizenship that needs to be addressed because she got a call but we think it was spam and they were like, I can't tell you anything but she needs to call us back immediately regarding her citizenship.

And I'm like, what so now you don't have to do like I never thought that that spam calls or whatever might not be spam could victimize you in the other way could cause you to ignore something legitimate.

Like what if there really was a warrant out for your arrest and somebody called you to let you know like, hey, you got to come down to the police station and handle this.
