She and her team have taken a big role in the 303 creative case that was before the Supreme Court yesterday and want to kind of get the download.

She was there, observed the case, and I am intrigued to find out what her take is.

Most media commentators think that there will be a win for free speech in that case.

That's the one where the state of Colorado wants to compel a web designer to design a website

for a gay marriage.

The web designer is a Christian, said no and got sued.

It's going to be very interesting to see.

Before I move on to anything else, I'm actually intrigued.

I have a caller who wants to defend the JCPA, and I think in fairness, we should have this

conversation. So Xavier, welcome to the Eric Erickson Show. How are you? Good. How are you doing today?

Great. So you're in favor of the propping up journalism in this way.

Yes, and so my perspective is that because you've already seen Facebook come out and say that they want to be hosting these articles.

If the social media platforms are no longer hosting the articles and the links, that would

cut traffic from those large media organizations.

And wouldn't that ideally take a lot of money away from them?

And we would see like maybe subsequently layoffs and things like that where they would get smaller.

So if Facebook isn't sending traffic to the New York Times, for example,

the New York Times would have less revenue and would struggle more financially.
