By the way, you should note, I don't want to dwell on the point,

but Mike Pence is more and more distancing himself from from Donald Trump.

He is sitting down tonight with David Muir, the host of ABC's World News Tonight.

And, well, this is one of the excerpts.

Members were barricaded inside the House chamber.

And in the middle of it all, you can see that the president has tweeted.

2.24 p.m., the president tweets, Mike Pence didn't have the courage to do what should have been done. It angered me.

But I turned to my daughter who was standing nearby,

and I said it doesn't take courage to break the law.

It takes courage to uphold the law.

I mean, the President's words were reckless. It was clear he decided to be part of the problem.

That's Mike Pence.

This doesn't really help

Pence's presidential prospects within the GOP.

He would like to run for president, I think, I guess.

I haven't really talked to him about it.

He's a longtime friend of mine.

We don't regularly talk these days, though.
