Well, I have to tell you,

there's something that always happens

when you're in this line of work.

You have to, over time, and really Rush Limbaugh talked about this a lot.

He and I had several private conversations about this.

You have to stop carrying what other people think, particularly when you know you're doing a good job.

Because one of the inevitable things that

happens is you develop a near marriage like relationship with members of your audience

who know every detail of your life and like your spouse your wife they want to tell you when you're wrong, even when you're not.

And in your real marriage, you get to say, yes, dear, even when you're right, but your spouse

thinks you're wrong. You say yes, dear. And let's be honest, dear. I'm talking about men,

when your wife says you're wrong, yes, dear.

I saw some stand-up comedian. He was doing a PowerPoint presentation and he says, when I'm wrong and my wife is right, the response is my mistake.

When I'm wrong and my wife is wrong, the response is my mistake. When I'm right and my wife is wrong, the response is my mistake.

When I'm right and my wife is right, the response is, yes, dear, you're right.
