I was talking to a buddy mine the other day.

He was listening in the car and he and I are taking a fly fishing trip in November.

His wife was asking him, his wife's completely apolitical and turned on the radio.

And there I was talking about the indigestion from the brave chili dog.

She says, really?

Braves Chili Dogs. But nonetheless, talking about natural gas. There is a story we should all

be paid attention to. Near the tip of Nigeria's Bonnie Island, an arrowhead speck of land where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Niger Delta.

A giant plant last year produced enough liquefied natural gas to heat half the UK for the winter.

Most of it was shipped out of the country with Spain, France, and Portugal, the biggest

buyers. Just 17 miles away in the town of Bodo, residents still use black market kerosene and

diesel to light wood stoves and power electricity generators. The fuel is manufactured with crude stolen from the foreign energy giants,

shell, any, and total energies that co-owned the Bonney Island facility, along with Nigerian government.

The gas here goes to Bonnie and Europe to power homes and industries, but we have no benefits from it, said Puyas Dimpka, the chairman of Boda's local community development committee.
