It's really starting to annoy me the number of smart people who are falling for this stuff.

Everybody wants to believe the worst these days, and there are a lot of people chasing clout who are trying to toy with your emotions.

We're in postmodern times I realize and everything is emotional and relational and people

tell you stuff and you believe it and y'all are getting played.

2,000 cows in Kansas fell over dead the other day.

You probably heard the number was 10,000.

One media outlet has said it could be as high as 10,000, and that was taken as the number.

The state of Kansas says the actual number of disposed carcasses was 2,000, not 10,000.

It could be 10,000 because farmers are not required to report dead cattle, but most farmers

rely on the state to help dispose of the carcasses properly so that the farmers don't have to deal with the expense the state will take care of it.

And of those who had the state, it was 2,000, not 10,000.

But a group of conspiracy theorists on the right are seizing on a lot of these sorts of stories.

And in so doing, they are pushing off on you the idea that, well, there's something you've never heard of before.
