Hey friends, welcome back to the old fashioned on purpose podcast.

So today I am doing a solo episode and I want to dive into a topic that I honestly wasn't

super aware of until last week when it kind of hit me all at once and became a really hot

topic over on my Instagram page.

You might have seen the post and maybe engaged on that post.

There was more than I could say on Instagram and I thought it would be a really good topic

for this podcast not only because it's interesting, it's informative, it's timely, but it's

also really important because I'm seeing an issue affect our homestead community a lot

more lately and it's it's concerning me a little bit and I wanted to kind of break that

down and discuss it.

So there's two parts to this episode.

The first part I want to talk about the egg shortage or these crazy egg prices that everyone's

talking about.

It was like the whole internet.

Of course my internet is skewed towards homestead minded people, but my circles are talking

about these egg issues.

I saw this hilarious Instagram reel yesterday where it was, what did it say, egg dealers

and it had a husband and a wife and they had on like fur coats and sunglasses and they

were in their kitchen mimicking like weighing out drugs, but they were weighing their eggs

and it was hilarious because eggs are real pricey right now.

And so I wanted to address that because there's a lot of buzz and I think a lot of misinformation

floating around on that.
