Okay, this is Heaven Bent. I'm Tara Jean Stevens. This is Season 10, Episode 6, and it's going to be a really brief episode

in order to share an important development. It's a response from the board of Patricia King Ministries to episode five, a safe person.

That episode was released exactly a week ago as I'm recording this.

Daniel came forward to share a heartbreaking story that was really difficult to hear.

And I'll share the statement now, but I don't ever want to let it slip away from us that

Daniel was really clear that part of the drive about coming forward is to support Kat.

She's been sharing her own story publicly since the start of February now.

And although their situations are obviously different, they're both painting a picture of a leader who

didn't or couldn't identify or care for them as victims.

Now, here's the statement from the board.

It's dated March 20, 26.

We are deeply grieved by the account shared by Daniel on the Heaven Bent podcast, March 16, 2026.

That's the day it came out.

Regarding his stated experience of alleged abuse connected to Matthew Ford, our hearts go out to him with great compassion and to all who have suffered in similar ways.

We recognize the courage it takes to speak up about such painful experiences, and we honor that courage.

As a ministry, we stand firmly against all forms of abuse, grooming, and exploitation.

These actions are a violation of God's heart and is designed for human dignity and safety.

In his story, Daniel expressed a belief that Patricia was aware of the alleged behavior at the time he visited Matthew in 2001.

Patricia, it says, has shared that she does not recall knowing about the abuse during that season,

but she carries deep sorrow for Daniel as she reflects with sobriety on what has now been brought forward.

It doesn't go on too much longer, but the end part says we are prayerfully and carefully
