Now currently I am recording this in a hotel room in Bristol but at the weekend I sat down, popped the computer on and had a lovely chat with Rob Orton.

That's something we've been meaning to do for I think this book on the podcast like maybe two years. Rob is a, well we talk about this about putting labels on things.

What is Rob? What is Rob? I first came across him as a stand-up but also a poet. The other year he produced the Rob Orton daily podcast does what it says in the tin he produced an episode every day for a year and quite rightly won at the British podcast awards last year.

He is a lovely guy's wonderful company. He's so interesting. You don't know where the conversations are going to go and I love this a lot. I think you're really going to get on board with this.

Rob Orton, how are you? I'm alright. I'm okay, thank you. You alright? I'm okay. I'm good. It's been raining all morning here in Manchester and I'm just looking out the sky now. It's turning blue so hopefully it's going to be a nice afternoon.

I really know it's still overcast in Hattney here and it's really dark actually. I've started making lists which is helping me out in the new year.

As in sort of what resolution lists or just in my diary I thought that if you were going to ask me how I am which I predicted would do.

I thought I could just say yeah I'm okay or try to go into it a bit more.

I mean I'd love to hear something from your list. That would be fantastic.

Last year I didn't have a paper diary for the first time in a long time and I think it affected my year really.

And this year I think I'm going to get a paper diary and get back because you didn't have that sort of structure that you were normally used to having.

I think so yeah there's something about pens and paper that just sits really well with me really and I just love using my hands and physical things and I think there's so much drama

and emotions that I'm not used to that's attached to mobile phones.

The separating tasks and things just like I don't want all my life to be on my phone basically.

Now I know what you mean it's funny you said that because at New Year I was being asked inevitably we always get asked by sort of friends and loved ones about New Year's resolutions.

And I hadn't really given it too much thought but there was one thing that was playing on my mind for the last few months actually.
