talk to Chris Flore, one of Adnan's initial attorneys. As we discussed in episode seven, we think that the decision

to deny Adnan bail in this case played a large role in the ultimate outcome of that case.

And Susan, when you talk to Chris, what did he have to say? Well, I talked to him a lot about

bail in general in Baltimore, and it's important not just in a non's case, but in general,

how it's such a crucial issue for so many trials and how the system itself in many ways is

about as poorly designed as it could be. And he shared with me what he'd experienced as an attorney

in Baltimore, and what he saw were the major problems with the current bail system.

And I was one of two lawyers handling Adnan's case back at its inception.

I was working on a grant funder project called the Lawyers at Bail, and I was the legal director of the Lawyers of Bail Project.
