the second and final day of the Bible's book of love

poetry song of Solomon. Before we get started I do want to let you know that if you

Yesterday we read the first half of Song of Solomon and we were introduced to a man

and a woman they're engaged to a man and a woman.

They're engaged to be married,

and they are so excited and looking forward

to their marriage.

They shared their joy in one another

and their excitement to be married.

Yesterday's reading concluded with the beginning of a dream that the

shepherd has had about her wedding day and night, and chapter 5 is the

conclusion of the dream, only it becomes kind of a nightmare.

In her dream, her groom comes knocking on the door, and though she wants to go to him,

she's tired and she procrastinates opening the door and when she finally gets around to

opening it he's gone so she runs after him but then she's found beaten and bruised by the

watchman.
