My name is Alexa and today we continue our study of the Book of Psalms, but looking at Psalms

106 through 110. In Psalm 106 of the we see a recount of Israel's history, specifically focusing on God's faithfulness.

But here in Psalm 106, we learn how Israel reacted and treated God throughout their history.

The Psalmist recounts how Israel grumbled and rebelled against God and worshipped other gods instead of him.

Although we see God's punishment of Israel, we also see His grace as he continued to rescue Israel and remain faithful to his covenant.

In Psalm 1 of 7, the Psalmist uses imagery to describe what exile was like for the nation of Israel.

In each instance, he describes the suffering they faced while also highlighting the deliverance of God

and calling all of Israel to praise God in light of his deliverance.

Israel was wandering in the wilderness without food and water, but God led them to a city for safety and

sustenance. They were in the darkness of prison but God broke through their chains

and led them out of captivity. They were experiencing deep affliction but God

sent his word and healed them. They were in a

in a relentless storm, but God led them to a safe harbor.

All of these experiences communicate how God

redeems his people and lifts the needy out of despair.

In Psalm 108, David prays for God to give him victory.

Before asking for God's help, he praises God with loud stinging and rejoicing.

While David worries that God is not with him in battle,
