0:16.8	points to Jesus. Hey Daily Grace Family, welcome back. My name is Tiffany and I'm your host through the book of Isaiah.
0:30.0	God has been teaching me so much as we walk through this book and I hope you are learning so much as well.
0:36.0	What a gift that each time we come to the word, there is something new for us to learn and to help us grow.
0:44.4	Today we're going to take a look at Isaiah 43 through 45.
0:50.0	In these chapters, we will jump back and forth
0:52.4	between the current events of Isaiah's time
0:54.8	as well as the future hope of Christ.
0:57.9	We want to remember once again that Israel, the Northern Kingdom, has been conquered by Assyria at this point.
1:04.9	Isaiah is now prophesying to Judah the Southern Kingdom.
1:09.3	The future exile they face is still at least 100 years away and the redemption God promised
1:15.9	through Cyrus of Persia to return a remnant to Jerusalem is at least 150 years away.
1:23.4	So utilizing these time markers will help us as we
1:26.9	unpack these chapters and apply them correctly
1:30.3	and within context.
1:32.0	Chapter 43 is filled with some often quoted verses.
1:37.1	This chapter speaks to God's glory, greatness, and sovereignty in all things.
1:43.0	V verses 1 through 7 remind us that across every generation God comforts his chosen people.
1:50.0	He would comfort Judah when they went into exile, and he comforts us today through the salvation that Jesus provides.
1:58.0	Isaiah 43 versus one through three say,
2:02.0	Do not fear, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine.
