So we invited our friends, detectives Dan and Dave to sit down with us and share their most interesting cases.

Thank you. Emma was a 24-year-old female described by her friends as being happy, eccentric, and an animal lover.

She worked as a short-order cook at a local restaurant in town and had recently become engaged to her fiancé, Rusty. Emma rented a room in a home belonging to her friend, Bill,

who was a long-hauled trucker and often out of town for work. Not long after Emma moved in,

and much to her displeasure, Bill began allowing his cousin Doug to stay in the detached garage behind his house.

Doug was a 30-year-old male with a heavy methamphetamine habit.

He'd been kicked out of his mother's home because his brother, who also lived with their mom,

had filed a restraining order against him due to a fight the two brothers had gotten into.

In addition to his brother's restraining order, Doug had several other criminal charges

pending against him for physical and sexual assault.

Though Doug wasn't ever allowed into the main house where Emma was living,

she was wary of him and uncomfortable with the steady stream of sketchy visitors

he had coming and going at all hours.
