0:34.5	We're talking about John and Horace Dodge, the brothers that started the Dodge brand.
0:37.6	Did you know they actually did a lot of work with Henry Ford? Yeah, they built a ton of stuff for Ford,
0:42.4	a lot of engines, transmissions for those Model T's. Eventually, they're able to start their own company
0:46.7	and take it to Henry Ford, the eccentric weird guy who ate a lot of weeds around his house
0:52.4	because he believed it was healthier than vegetables.

1:04.7	he could to position their brand new Dodge 3035 as a better Model T. Henry Ford was blasting the public with a full-on campaign
1:13.3	around his very successful car that was, in John's opinion and reality, an unsafe piece of
1:19.1	junk. John wanted to prove his car was much safer than the Model A, which had a precariously
1:24.1	mounted gas tank directly under the front seat and was prone to fires.
1:28.7	So he and his brother Horace jumped in their car and took off.
1:32.3	John floored his namesake Dodge 3035 and chugged it to a blistering 20 miles per hour.
