For this week's case, we're going back to February 1986.

That month, Pixar Animation Studios was founded.

On February 8th, two trains, including one passenger train,

collided in Hinton, Alberta, Canada. Tragically, 23 people were killed. On February 9th,

during Haley's Comets' second visit to the solar system, it reached the closest point to the sun.

On February 24th, the top song on the Billboard charts was Kyrie by the rock band, Mr. Mr. Sherry Rasmussen was 29 years old and she worked as the director of nursing at the Glendale Eventis Medical Center. Sherry was a bright and ambitious woman.

She went to college when she was just 16 years old.

She first became a nurse when she was 20 years old.

Sherry lived in a condo with her husband, John Run, in the Van Nuys area of Los Angeles, California.

The couple had only been married about three months.

Sherry and John met a party of a mutual friend in 1984, and they started dating.

They were married on November 23rd, 1985.

The couple was supposedly happy and still in their honeymoon phase.

On the morning of February 24th, 1986, John, who was an engineer, went to work.

Sherry called in sick and stayed home that day. That evening, John returned home and instantly noticed that something was off.

The garage door was open, but Sherry's car was not parked inside of it.

Sherry's car was a BMW.

John bought her to the car in seven engagement ring because she thought it was more practical.

Also, there was glass on the pavement in front of the garage.
