| 0:07.0 | In today's episode, we're going to discuss a case that had no shortage of suspects. |
| 0:12.0 | But it would take years before the case was finally closed. |
| 0:16.0 | The case we're talking about today happened in a small town called Bridgeton. |
| 0:24.0 | Bridgeton is a resort town in southwest Maine. |
| 0:29.1 | It's the setting of the 1980s Stephen King novella, The Mist. |
| 0:34.2 | King revisited the town in 2009 with his novel Under the Dome. |
| 0:40.3 | The city and under the dome is called Chester Mills and its base off Bridgeton. In the early 1990s, Bridgeton had a population of about 4,300 people. |

| 1:42.0 | It sounded like someone was searching the drawer for something. |
| 1:46.0 | This was followed by some intense banging noises and horrifying screaming. |
| 1:52.0 | After a while, there was silence. |
| 1:56.0 | Sarah left her room and found her mother in a puddle of blood in the kitchen. |
| 2:01.6 | Crystal wasn't moving. |
| 2:05.6 | Sarah picked up the phone to call 911, but the line was dead. |
| 2:10.6 | So she ran from her house to the closest neighbor, which was half a mile away. |
