They're owned by Volkswagen.

They have a stellar racing resume and they're one of the most respected brands by aficionados

and casual drivers alike.

But it wasn't always that way.

Porsche has been on the brink of bankruptcy not once, not twice but three times since they

began production.

How the heck did they survive?
