Hi and welcome to this week's off the bench. I'm Sam from FPL family. I'm Andy FPL

Sanaldo. Andy, we've now reached the round of 16 in the World Cup and we've already seen the likes of

Christian Erickson, Kevin DeBroyne, Mitrovich, Darwin Nunez coming home early from the competition.

In addition, we've had announcements of a double game week or a series of double game weeks

since the last off the bench podcast.

So it's been a busy time,

both at the World Cup and in FPL. What's all this meant for your FPL planning so far?

To be honest, Sam, I've been somewhat switched off from FPL mode. However, because we're so

obsessed about FPL, you're still thinking about the players that are injured, the players that have

been knocked out, players that are still in the World Cup, but the World Cup has been fabulous so far.

It's been really joyful to watch, especially with Korea doing so well.

So I'm excited for FPL to return in a couple weeks' time.

How about yourself?

It's funny, really, because for me, I have been like fully FPL still.

I can't seem to stop tinkering with my team.

My camera role is full of pictures of unlimited transfer drafts

because every time somebody plays well at the World Cup,

I'm like, oh, let's see if how can build a team that brings them in.

And of course, over the last couple of days,

with players exiting the competition at the end of the group stages,

that's made me kind of even more interested from an FPL perspective.

So, for example, Darwin Nunes was a player that was absolutely on my radar anyway,
