points to Jesus. Hello and welcome back to a year in the Bible of Daily Grace. My name is

Katie and today we are wrapping up the Book of Ecclesiasties. Let's dive in to chapters 10 through 12. As we bring Ecclesiasties to a close, Solomon wrapped up his reflections, weighing wisdom and folly, pleasure and judgment.

In Chapter 10, Solomon tells us that those walking and folly will be obvious by their actions.

Those choosing foolishness will keep making foolish decisions. Everyone will know it. But Solomon muses on the unfairness

that still exist in the world. He says that often the foolish will be exalted and the

rich and wisdom will occupy the humble places.

Solomon keeps thinking about unfairness. We'll often be hurt by the very thing we give our life to.

Ouch. It's a continuation of the theme we see in the book of

Ecclesiasties. The world is meaningless apart from God. Those who dig a hole

will fall into the pit. Those who

carry rocks may be hurt by the very tools they use to make a living.

We also face unfairness in her leadership.

Solomon just opposes a kingdom that's led by a young, foolish leader who plunders resources

against an experienced king who conserves resources for the proper time. He reminds us that the careless have consequences down the road.

In chapters 11 and 12, we see Solomon finishing his reflections on the tension between pleasure and judgment.

Death is imminent and it's unescapable.

A pursuit of pleasure and the knowledge of judgment

seemed to compete for space in our life.

If a person just fixates on what might happen in the future,

they'll miss out on what God has for Him here on Earth today. But if one walks in the
