Heather Wilk always thought she would have a problem getting pregnant.

I was completely convinced that there was something wrong. The general recommendation for women

under 35 is to try for a year before seeking treatment. But Heather had her hunch. It just seemed

really dumb to me to wait when I knew that they could do a test that could tell us, oh, everything

looks fine. Keep trying. Or no, this isn't going to work. You need a different option. Why wait

and waste time if this wasn't going to work naturally. Her best friend was already going through

fertility treatment. So she made an appointment at that same clinic. I had to fill out all of this

paperwork and there's a slot that says kind of like, is there anything else you'd like to share?

There was something. When Heather's parents were going through their fertility treatment in 1985,

they saw a well-known doctor in Indianapolis. That doctor's name was Donald Klein.

They were told that Klein would be using a medical resident. We now know Klein
