This is episode four of the Baby Hope case. In the summer of 1991, the body of a small

child was found in a cooler on the side of a highway. We thought we were going to solve

it really quick. But years passed without any real progress.

I remember having this meeting in the office and we all looked at each other and we says like,

you know, what's there left to do with this?

And somebody said, well, let let's could we bury her.

Finally on the 21st anniversary of finding the body a tip was called into crime

stoppers and they told me that maybe five years before a person in a laundry mat told them

that they saw their sister in a bag dead in a refrigerator. Our reporter is Edward Conlan, a former detective.

Some cops move around a lot in their careers. If you rise through the ranks, you're going to a new command with each promotion.

But the way I see it, more than not detectives tend to look for a home.

I wanted to know if Bobby Dewhurst felt the same.

Can you talk a little bit about what you like about cold case?

We're kind of like the last stand,

the last defense of these forgotten cases.
