I'm riding in a massive black pickup truck as it bounces over a logging road.

We're on gated and locked private timberland in a secret location out on Washington's Olympic

Peninsula.

In the driver's seat, a wiry and bearded chain coarsing keeps his hands lightly on the

wheel.

And behind me, producer Kelsey Ray juggles a pile of recording equipment.

So how many times have you been out here?

I've been out here a lot.

Do you still get excited when you come out?

Every time, yeah.

Because almost every time I've come out here, I've just discovered something new, something

always jumps out at me.

Here we are.

We're about to plunge through the underbrush, scouting for signs of a creature that I'm

betting all of us have heard about, but aren't sure if it actually exists.

I'm pretty excited about this.

You know, we're going somewhere where a lot of people just haven't had access, so we're

getting to see something that a lot of people haven't seen who probably would kill for

this.

So I'm getting my boots laced up.

We have the bug spray.

Yeah.
